A department store on Sunday night became engulfed in flames for reasons still unknown. According to Fire Chief Marlon Gentle on the scene, the fire department received a call after 8pm about a fire in the location.
Gentle registered his dissapointnent with regards to access to fire hydrants. He noted that one of two fire hydrants, was blocked by debris from a nearby construction site.
From all indications, the fire might have been started from the burnt out lot which once housed the Sachi building. That store was ravaged by flames several months ago.
