The Guyana Government on Friday afternoon has decided to extend the curfew by extending the timing from the previous curfew. The Curfew which was from 9 pm to 4 am would have come to an end on Saturday the 31st of October.
The new curfew time will take into effect on November 1st and will last till the 30th, with the Curfew beginning from 10:30 pm to 4:00 am .They are still restrictions on social Activates like, Bars, Private Parties, Wake or Vigil, Spa, etc. All Persons within the Public sector shall work on a rotation unless otherwise instructed.
Other Services may be open between the hours of 4:00 am to 9:30 pm each day such as gas stations, banks, postal and shipping services, beauty salon and barbershops, Hardware stores, clothing, and book stores.
While indoor and buffet dining is prohibited, outdoor dining at restaurants shall only be permitted between the hours of 4:00 am to 9:30 pm each day.
Place of Worship should only have 25% Capacity, with the reopening of schools to be done by the Ministry of Education which is subject to compliance by the Covid 19 measures.
Sporting Events are permitted which is subject to approval by the Ministry of Health. With Gyms being open to a 50% Occupancy.
