Local detectives are seeking more help from its international counterparts to help solve the murders of three West Coast Demerara teens who were murdered at the Cotton Tree Backdam almost two months ago.
Acting Commissioner of Police Nigel Hoppie when questioned on Wednesday with the regards to the state of affairs with the investigation, said, “The Guyana Police Force will leave no stone unturned as we continue this investigation. Detectives are pursuing new leads and that’s all we can say at this point.”
The Commissioner confirmed that the regional team of detectives that arrived in Guyana three weeks ago to assist the police with their investigation, left guyana last week.
“They did leave Guyana but I will be provided with a detailed report of their findings soon. So we are awaiting that and the results from the samples we sent abroad.” The acting TOP COP said.
The force is however in talks with Argentina with the hope of soliciting their expertise in the investigation.
