COVID-19 has done its fair bid in shaking up the sporting world, and in Guyana, the local athletics association is reviewing a possibility of shifting the School Nationals permanently.
The shift of school’s nationals into February/March is nothing new to the athletics arena in Guyana, since it was done in the past; instead of the November time frame.

According to the Association’s Head Aubrey Hudson, he said that the global Track and Field season usually starts during December to April annually.
But to adapt the time frame globally, Hudson explained that the Guyana Teachers Union and Ministry of Education were consulted to have the timeframe moved. Hudson said that while it has been done before, he adamant of the success level.
