According to Prime Minister Mark Phillips during his presentation in the National Assembly on Friday, technology in Guyana will be used to bring much needed development in several sectors. He noted that sustainable development remains a priority of the administration and as such, government will be investing to improve Guyana’s technological standing.
The PM said, “There is tremendous potential for ICT, to be used as development in all sectors of our society. In health, education, security, infrastructure… ICTs enable innovation to develop solutions that can lead in the enhancement and quality of life.”
PM Phillipa noted that sustainable development remains a priority of the administration and as such, government will be investing heavily to improve Guyana’s technological infrastructure.
“While developed countries have made tremendous strides, developing countries, such as Guyana, will have a long way to go. Goal 9 of the sustainable development goal, speaks to technology development, research and innovation.” the PM said.
