Detectives are continuing their investigations into the murder of twenty-two-year-old John Yap, a fisherman of Kilcoy Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 14th around 21:00hrs allegedly by another twenty-one-year-old fisherman from the same village.
The Guyana Ledger understands that the victim and his wife, about 19:00hrs, left home and proceeded to a Super bet outlet at Kilcoy Village, Corentyne Berbice, where the victim and the suspect got into an argument.
The two reportedly got into an argument which resulted in the suspect stabbing the victim to the chest.
The victim was taken to the Port Mourant Hospital where he was admitted and subsequently transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The suspect has not been found up to news time.
