MINGO CHARGE WITH MORE FRAUD
One week after Region Four Returning Officer Clairmont Mingo was charged for a number of election fraud related issues, he was back in court on Friday to answer an additional charge.
Mingo appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty. He was not required to plea to the indictable charge which alleged that sometime after the March 2 elections, in cahoot with others, he attempted to commit electoral fraud.
Mingo was released on self-bail. Magistrate McGusty adjourned the matter until November 16.
PNC Chairperson, explained that the Prosecution in the case requested that the court grant enough time; allowing the prosecution to gather their facts.
Mingo was recently slapped with four charges of fraud and granted a total of $600,000 bail. He was ordered to report to the police weekly.
