The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was a no show at the Georgetown Magistrates Court for the case involving Chief Elections Officer of the Guyana Elections Commission Keith Lowenfield.
With the trial expected to begin on October 26, the DPP’s office was given up to October 9 to submit their files to the court for the commencement of the trial.
Representing the interest of Lowenfield, Senior Counsel Neil Boston, posited that the DPP has no evidence against his client. He further stated that he will be seeking the courts approval to have the case dismissed.
