A $200 debt owed to a vagrant ended tragically on Wednesday in Bourda Market.
52-year-old Ovid Chester, was stabbed multiple times to his body. Police say he was confronted by a vagrant, who accused him of not paying him $200. The two reportedly worked out a deal for the sale of an item.
Chester reportedly informed the assailant that he was not in possession of the cash.
A fight quickly escalated. It was further stated that the vagrant whipped out a knife and stabbed Chester.
The injured man ran from the scene but collapsed and died a short distance away. Paramedics were summoned to the scene and they pronounced him dead. The suspect has since been taken into Police custody as the investigations continue.
