The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was a no show at the Georgetown Magistrates Court on Monday for the continuation of the case involving the Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfield. The case has been further delayed.
The Magistrate in the matter postponed the matter until September 11. The magistrate explained that there is expecting to be clear indication on the way forward with regards to the much anticipated decision of the DPP.
The private criminal charges against Lowenfield allege fraud and misconduct as CEO in connection with the reports on the final results of the 2020 General and Regional Elections.
The applicants in the case told the Court that the DPP new evidence and statements were sent to the DPP’s Office.
