PNM and Dr. Keith Rowley’s party will spend another five years in power and Prime Minister. The General election which was held, Monday last was deemed to be entangled in some controversy, when Opposition leader from the UNC Kamla Persaud Bissessar wanted a recount from ballot boxes in San Fernando West, St Joseph, and Taco/Sangre Grande. This Move had forces, President Paula Mae Weekes, to tentatively move the Inauguration of the Prime Minister and Attorney General for Friday. The Guyana Ledger was able to confirm that after the recount was done the PNM party had also won the popular votes as well and with that being gone and dusted the PNM Government will be sworn in after the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Declares the party the winners of the August 10th General elections.
