According to Michael Hall, CPL’s Tournament Operations Director, they did receive notification from his Franchise the Jamaica Tallawahs that he was requesting permission to leave the tournament because of personal reasons.Hall then went on to say during a Virtual Press Conference on Tuesday that the tournament heads take decisions like these at face value because the person has identified it as personal. Hall Further added that tournament body dont pry into issues like these to disclose the reason for withdrawal since it is personal.Sarwan has now left the bubble and will no longer be a part of the tournament or be the assistant coach for the Tallawahs this season. He has been replaced by Vinode Maharaj and Ryan Austin.
